Different raw materials require different machine selection.
The same pellet mill is applicable to different raw materials. Our pellet machines can currently process most types of raw materials effectively, on the premise that the material moisture content is controlled within 20%, with the optimal crushing fineness kept within 1 cm. Therefore, pre-treatment of raw materials plays a decisive role in the whole production process.
Take a typical case for illustration. Recently, we have received a large number of inquiries from Southeast and South Asian customers focusing on industrial solid waste, construction waste and other similar materials. Such waste materials are highly mixed and complex, containing plastics, waste paper, wood, stones, iron wires, soil and other impurities. Hence, the processing machine required for these mixed wastes is completely different from that used for pure wood or crop straw materials.
Given the complex composition of these materials, manual sorting is recommended in advance if conditions permit, to remove large stones, iron wires and other bulky impurities first. After sorting, our double-shaft shredder is the ideal option for primary shredding, which delivers high processing capacity and excellent crushing performance. A magnetic separator can be installed on the conveyor belt to further remove iron and metal impurities.
To sift out soil and fine sundries, our rotary drum screen is highly recommended. After the above pre-processing steps, materials will be finely crushed by our high-efficiency hammer mill. The processed materials can be finally made into pellets or biomass briquettes for further utilization.
