  • Excessive moisture in raw materials
The optimal moisture content of raw materials for pellet production is usually 13%-18%; both excessive and insufficient moisture will affect production. If raw materials are too moist, high pressure from the press roller (when pressing materials into the die) generates a lot of heat. Moisture in the materials turns into steam, which may eventually cause the machine to stop working and fail to discharge.

  • Burnt press roller bearings

Bearing failure is often accompanied by overheating at the installation position, abnormal noise during operation, severe machine shaking, stuck components, or fluctuating working current. Common causes include impurity contamination, improper installation, poor lubrication, fatigue damage, incorrect bearing selection, or low-quality bearings. Replace the damaged bearings promptly.

  • Inappropriate die compression ratio

Different materials require dies with matching compression ratios. An overly high ratio leads to difficult discharging, die clogging, overheating, higher power consumption, lower output, and even charred pellets (or machine damage in severe cases). Replace the die with one that has a suitable compression ratio.
