Research from the China Agricultural Machinery Research Institute has proven that taking corn crushing as an example, the crushing efficiency of a 1.6 mm hammer is 45% higher than that of a 6.25 mm hammer and 25.4% higher than that of a 5 mm hammer.

 

However, when using hammers below 3 mm, due to limitations in manufacturing and heat treatment processes, as well as hardening technology, the manufacturing cost is too high and the service life is relatively short, making it difficult to take advantage of thin hammers.
