New dies have burrs during processing; the abrasive contains fine sand to effectively deburr and polish new die holes.
Used for pellet mill startup and shutdown:
Shutdown: The compression chamber reaches 80-100℃ during normal operation. Without treatment, high-density material pellets remain in die holes. As the die cools, holes shrink, making pellets tighter and harder—easily causing clogging at next startup (cleaning is time-consuming). The hard, loose abrasive cleans the die and stays in holes, solving this issue.
Startup: The abrasive contains oil, which quickly raises die temperature to the normal granulation level. It also rarely clogs the die, helping the mill transition smoothly to normal operation.
