Pellet Mill Operation Guidelines

Core principle: Follow procedures and control key steps for safe operation and qualified pellets of the pellet mill.
Pre-Startup Preparation
Inspect the pellet mill: Tighten bolts, check die/roller condition, and ensure sufficient lubrication.
Prepare raw materials: Crush to proper size, remove hard impurities, and adjust moisture for the pellet mill.
Ensure safety: Close the pellet mill’s guards, test emergency stop, and clear the work area around it.
Startup Procedure
Idle run: Start the pellet mill and run empty for 3-5 minutes to check operation.
Feed gradually: Turn on the feeder and adjust the feed rate slowly to avoid the pellet mill jamming.
Calibrate parameters: Adjust the pellet mill’s roller pressure and speed based on material type.
Operation Monitoring
Check pellet quality: Adjust the pellet mill’s settings if pellets are loose or broken.
Monitor the pellet mill: Watch for abnormal temperature, noise, or vibration of the equipment.
Maintain steady feeding: Ensure continuous material supply to avoid the pellet mill dry running.
Shutdown Procedure

Stop the pellet mill: Shut down the main power after no more pellets are produced.
Clean up: Remove residual materials from the pellet mill and record operation status.
