Storage Requirements for Wood Pellet Mill Ring Dies

Wood pellet mill ring dies are precision-drilled with very high surface finish. To maintain output, keep die holes clean. Follow these storage guidelines:
After 6 months of storage, replace the oil filler with new oil. Old filler hardens over time, causing blockages when the mill is reused.
Store in a dry, clean, well-ventilated area. For long-term idleness, apply a thin layer of waste oil to prevent moisture corrosion. Never store near production raw materials—they absorb and retain moisture, accelerating die corrosion and shortening service life.
If removing the die for standby during production: Before shutting down, use oily material to squeeze out all residual raw materials. This ensures smooth discharge from die holes on next use. Residual raw materials (with moisture) will corrode and roughen holes, affecting performance if not cleared.
