⑤ Feed material evenly. The thickness of the material layer shall not exceed the height limit standard. The height limit varies for different models of wood chippers. Please consult Taichang after-sales personnel for model-specific height limits. Sudden surges in feeding volume are strictly prohibited, as this may cause machine stalling and motor burnout.
⑥ Regularly inspect the belt conveyor for deviation. Correct deviation promptly once detected to avoid belt damage. Meanwhile, check whether belt fasteners are warped or fallen off. Repair them in a timely manner if found to prevent belt tearing.
⑦ Adjust the feeding speed at all times. For large wood chippers equipped with remote controllers, assign dedicated operators to handle the remote control, performing forward and reverse feeding as needed to avoid machine jamming.
⑧ Pre-clean impurities (iron, stones, etc.) from raw materials. Stones in wood chips must be picked out manually. Iron fragments require iron removal equipment (high-strength magnetic blocks, magnetic plates, magnetic separators, etc.). Nails embedded in timber shall be pulled out manually.
⑨ For large-diameter logs (over 15 cm) and hardwood, control the feeding quantity. It is recommended to process one log at a time (maximum 2–3 logs) for crushing.
⑩ Equipment maintenance must be carried out with power cut off and machine shut down to prevent personal injury accidents. Regularly inspect electrical circuits and wires for electric leakage; always prioritize safety.
⑪ Cleaning & Sanitation: Clean the wood chipper thoroughly after each shift to maintain a good working environment. Failure to clean dust for long periods will lead to dust accumulation. Dust attached to contacts inside the control cabinet and motor may cause short circuits when damp, and even trigger dust explosions.
