The vertical ring die mould features a fixed vertical die and rotating press rollers, offering notable advantages over traditional horizontal ring die and flat die moulds for large-scale industrial production.
While running, the die stays static and press rollers rotate horizontally around its center. Raw materials drop vertically into the pelleting chamber by gravity and spread evenly on the die inner wall without forced feeding, avoiding arching, blockage and uneven material distribution.
Rotating press rollers exert continuous high pressure on materials. Materials get compressed, densified and shaped in die holes, extruded through annular die holes and cut into even cylindrical pellets by the cutter.
Equipped with an integrated air cooling system, the vertical design accelerates heat dissipation in the pelleting chamber. It lowers risks of material carbonization and die high temperature wear for stable continuous production.
With uniform feeding, good heat dissipation, stable running, low blockage rate and higher capacity, this mould is particularly fit for light, fluffy and bridging prone biomass feedstock.
