1. Selection & Design

Select a proper filtration velocity. Use lower speed for fine, damp, and sticky dust. Reserve 5%–10% invalid cloth area and adopt net filtration area for accurate calculation.
Reserve 20%–40% air volume margin for air leakage and ambient air mixing. Distinguish working condition flow from standard flow.
Match filter bag material with actual conditions (temperature, humidity, corrosion, explosion risk). Use membrane, hydrophobic, and anti-static filter media when required.
High dust concentration gas can be treated directly by pulse bag collectors. Pre-dedusting is not mandatory and may worsen cleaning performance.

2. Working Condition Risk Prevention

High temperature: Strictly follow the temperature resistance limit of filter bags. Install cooling measures for over-temperature flue gas to avoid bag burning.
Dew & bag blocking: Keep flue gas temperature above dew point. Apply hydrophobic filter media for high-humidity conditions to prevent pressure difference rising and bag damage.
Corrosive gas: Adopt anti-corrosion filter material and shell protection.
Explosive dust: Use explosion-proof type equipment, anti-static filter bags, reliable grounding and explosion relief devices.

3. Equipment & Cleaning System

Priority selection: long bag low-pressure pulse dust collector. Ensure tight sealing between bag mouth and tube sheet to prevent dust leakage.
Cleaning control: differential pressure priority, timing auxiliary. Excessive pulsing shortens bag service life. Keep pulse air dry and clean.

4. Operation & Maintenance

Start the fan first before feeding flue gas; delay cleaning and shutdown after stopping production.
Monitor pressure difference continuously: rising pressure means bag blocking or poor cleaning; sudden pressure drop means bag damage or leakage.
Dust hopper ash discharge regularly. High ash level causes secondary dust and bag abrasion. Replace broken bags timely.
Equip PLC monitoring with temperature and differential pressure alarm functions.

5. Common Misunderstandings

Filtration area shall be reasonably matched. Excessive area causes energy waste; insufficient area leads to excessive emission.
Old equipment can be renovated by replacing core components (bags, pulse system, control system) while reusing the original shell, instead of full replacement.
